All the rooms being used for paper presentations have facilities for PowerPoint and data projection. There is also an overhead projector in each room.
The computer system available at Lancaster University is Windows 2000 and PowerPoint 2000.
The conference centre cannot guarantee that the projectors are Mac compatible. Delegates are advised wherever possible to convert their presentation from Mac to PC.
There will be a small support team available throughout the conference to help with setting up equipment/trouble shooting. It would be useful to know in advance if you intend using PowerPoint or data projection (please contact Hannah Morgan, abstracts.disconf@lancaster.ac.uk, if you haven't already done so).
Please bring several copies of PowerPoint/OHP slides or handouts in large print (we suggest Arial 16/18pt). It would be helpful if you could ensure that all the content on any Powerpoint/OHP slides is read out during your presentation.
If possible please bring at least one copy of your presentation and/or handouts on disk in Word as one delegate uses a computer reader.
Each paper presentation has been allocated 30 minutes. Please ensure you keep to your 30 minutes which includes time for others to ask questions. We hope to have somebody chairing each session, to help keep people to time and manage questions.
