Accessible bus routes

The number 3 and 4 buses are wheelchair-accessible and leave from the bus station every 15 minutes throughout the day, which is a 15 minute walk from the train station.

A better place to catch these buses is from the back of Littlewoods (Common Garden Street) which is a slightly easier 10-15 minute walk from the train station. Come out of the train station and turn left onto Meeting House Lane. At the cross roads with Waterstones book shop, cross over the main road (part of the one-way system) so that you are on the opposite side of the road to the book shop. Turn right so that you are travelling in the opposite direction to the road traffic. At the next road junction turn left into Common Garden Street and you will find the bus stops for the University on the left hand side as shown on this map of Lancaster town centre.

On arrival at the university, get off at the "Pendle College" bus stop on South Drive, which is the nearest bus stop to Pendle college and George Fox.
